Employee/User Permissions: Assigning & Managing and Employee/User's Permissions

Contract Insight allows administrators to assign security permissions to individual employees or to security groups which employees can be assigned to. 

To assign permissions to an individual employee

1. Go to the Employee Details screen for the employee/user for whom permissions are to be managed.

2. Click the Manage Permissions link on the side menu.


3. The Employee Permissions (for non-administrators) screen opens.

4. Go to the Manage Individual Permissions for Non-Administrators section.


5. To assign permissions, click/highlight the permission line item in the Available Permissions box and click the blue arrow to add the permission to the Assigned Permissions box.

6. To un-assign permissions, click/highlight the permission line item in the Assigned Permissions box and click the red arrow to remove the permission from the Assigned Permissions box.

To Assign an Employee/User to a Security Group:

1. Navigate to the Employee Permissions (for non-administrators) screen and go to the Manage Security Groups for Non-Administrators section. 


2. To assign a security group to the employee, click/highlight the security group line item in the Available Security Groups box and click the blue arrow to add the security group to the Assigned Security Groups box.

3. To un-assign a security group to the employee, click/highlight the security group line item in the Assigned Security Groups box and click the red arrow to remove the security group from the box.

To Assign Additional Departments/Divisions to an Employee/User

1. Go to the Employee Permissions (for non-administrators) screen and go to the Assign Additional Contracting Departments/Divisions for Non-Administrators section.

2. To assign a security group to the employee, click/highlight the security group line item in the Available Departments box and click the blue arrow to add the security group to the Assigned Departments box.

3. To un-assign a security group to the employee, click/highlight the security group line item in the Assigned Departments box and click the red arrow to remove the security group from the box.
